GREAT DUNMOW TOWN COUNCIL VACANCY ESTATES MANAGER Full time post (37 hours) Grade LC2, SCP 24-28 (Starting £27,905) We are seeking a permanent full time Estates Manager to manage the Town Council's premises and open spaces to a high standard, and to carry out specific functions including: Providing a maintenance programme to ensure that the Town Council's premises and open spaces are fit for purpose and meet relevant legislative requirements including health & safety and effective risk management. Managing a small team of staff (grounds staff, caretakers and cleaner) Undertaking regular inspections of the Council's open spaces and premises. Planning, overseeing and managing works as directed by the Council. Attending monthly evening meetings of the Downs & Commons and Hall Committees, preparing agendas, reports and minutes. Financial management of budgets. The post holder is required to implement Council decisions and is accountable to the Town Clerk for the effective management of its resources. This is a pivotal role and the post holder is required to have a hands-on approach to work alongside others to plan, enhance, manage and maintain the Council's assets. Full driving licence is essential.
